I help people helping people

My story goes back to a small country in western Africa. Children run back and forth on roads made from sand, elderly women sell pantry staples from buckets on their heads, crowds of Muslim worshipers follow the echoing prayer call from humble yet ornate mosques. This would be home to me for the next few years.

I had stepped into a world unknown to me, among people unknown to me, who spoke a language unknown to me. For some time, I felt isolated and disconnected. I could not relate to people who were so different in culture, background and circumstances to me. Or so I thought. As I began to grasp the local language and immerse myself in this new culture, something began to change. The barriers between me and these people disappeared. As it turned out, we were more alike than I thought.

Today, I have filmed projects all over the world using the principles I learned all those years ago. Now we use the power of storytelling to break down the walls between people and ideas. I make complex innovations grounded in real world communities approachable, credible, and investable.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple: I help people helping people.
